"It is my privilege, as Head Teacher, to be writing this opening section to our web-page.
The staff and students of OLSP hope that our web-page will give you a flavour of what life is like in the school.
Working with our parents, we are committed to our pupils in developing their skills and talents in a safe and supportive environment.
As a denominational school, our challenge is to nurture a community where our work, attitudes, behaviour and relationships are shaped by gospel values. Sharing the revelation that Christ is the foundation of everything brings meaning and coherence to the school.
Our commitment to our students is that we will support them in fulfilling their potential in academic terms and in relation to wider achievement.
We will also seek to equip them with the skills and insights to handle the challenges of life.
For us the ability to think and act creatively, imaginatively and be capable of independent thinking are at the root of successful learning and therefore we seek to target this area through our teaching.
We are guided by the principles of respect, tolerance and understanding and our goal is to encourage an awareness of the ethical dimension to actions. This approach supports us in developing an appreciation of cultural, social and religious diversity.
Should you wish to discuss any aspect of life in Our Lady and St Patrick’s High School, please do not hesitate to get in touch."
