Art and Design Department

Expressive Arts play an important part in the education of all pupils. They encourage the exploration of values, they nurture imagination and creativity, they develop practical skills and most importantly, promote intellectual and aesthetic development. It is important to realise that a career related to Design or Art, most often requires a folio of work produced in this department. For example students who are considering Fashion, Textiles, Jewellery, Interior or Product Design are expected to submit a folio for Art School and most other courses.

For many years now, the department of Art and Design has produced folios for submission and our pupils have excelled, receiving degrees and following successful careers in the above areas. Many have chosen to return to the department as students and teachers of Design and Art.
